Last week the beautiful Rebecca from Rock and Roses Mama shared the pictures from her wonderful wedding, and looked absolutely stunning in every single snap. This week its a double whammy, not only am I sharing my tips on how to nail that festival wedding vibe, I’ll also be sharing some mega exciting news with you as well. So grab your self a coffee, or a glass of prosecco or a hot chocolate and lets chat wedding wellies and wood lands.
As you might have guessed from my previous bloggy bride blogs posts the boy and I have decided to brave the fickle English weather and get hitched outside. Once we chose to take the woodland plunge we made an appointment with Ben from Capability Events to make our festival wedding dreams a reality.
For our ceremony we picked the woodland area at the bottom of a field with a brook at the bottom. We will be filling the woodland with benches and festoon lighting to nail that festival vibe. So find your self a lovely farmer and brave that weather and book that field.
Straw Bales are going to be your new best friend (after your maid of honour of course, big love to mine). I’ll be using these beautiful golden beasts for everything from seating around the fire pit to the building the bar. Not only do they soak up the spills from your slightly over sozzled wedding guests, they also provide some boho festival vibes.
To complete my festival feel I’ll sacking off the bog standard round conference tables with white table clothes that get covered in red wine by your fella’s drunk work friends. Instead I’ll be grabbing some wooden tables, benches, candles and some gin centre pieces and dispensing with the formal wedding vibe.
Not forgetting me….would any festival wedding be complete without some pinterest worthy flower crowns? I’ll be making like a wanna be boho queen and covering my head in some wildflower blooms.
So there you have my tips for rocking a festival wedding, of course we will also be dancing the night away to our friends band in true festival fashion. (How many times can I say festival in one post?)
And finally the most exciting part….WE’VE SET THE DATE.
So save the dates boys and girls, because thats when Lady Law Student is getting hitched. Only +460 days to go. Don’t to keep your eyes peeled for next weeks post from Lianne at Mrs Mummy Harris.
Until next time…
